James Roy Barnes, 81, of Quitman, passed away July 11, 2017. He was born on January 21, 1936 to James and Vera Barnes in Tuckerman, Arkansas. James served in the United States Army and retired from Reliable Insurance Company and Dillards.
James was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters. He is survived by his wife; Jerel, four children; Milton (Tammy) Barnes, Debora (Tim) Hatch, Mitchell (Brenda) Barnes, Robin (Bobby) Massanelli, eight grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Visitation will be held from 1-3 pm, Sunday, July 16, 2017 at Pinecrest Funeral Home, 7401 Hwy 5 N., Alexander, Arkansas. A Graveside service will be held at Forest Hills Cemetery, Monday, July 17, 2017, at 10 am with Earl Rawlings and Jacob Finkus officiating.
