Kevin Lawrence Hayes, 57, of Alexander went to be with the Lord on February 1, 2021. He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna L. Merrill and his brother Steven L. Hayes. He is survived by his wife, Michele Renee Hayes; his dad, George L. Hayes of Sanford, FL; his children, Shantell (Chris) McGraw of Benton, Nathan (Whitney) Hayes of Great Falls, MT, Kevin (Tamara) Hayes Jr., Samantha (Marvin) Hayes, and Jolene (Denny) Hayes of Langgoens, Germany; his bonus-children Brittany (Brandon) Sperry of Bryant, and Joshua (Tabatha) Vocque of Hensley. His grandchildren, Ryker and Averie McGraw, Brydger, Braydynn, and Brantly Hayes, Andi, Cara, Jake, Isabella, Skyler, Julye, and Emyli Vocque. His siblings; Linda (Bob) Webb of Ocean Springs, MS, David (Wanda) Hayes of Great Falls, MT, Barbara Hayes of Ocean Springs, MS, Bobby (Bobbi) Hayes of Sanford, FL, and Cynthia Ward of Bozeman, MT. His mother-in-law Nancy Carolyn Sweeney, Grandmother Margaree Weddington of Alexander and his beloved dog, Jax. Strength, Courage, Love, Family, Honesty, Integrity, and Forgiveness are just a few of the things that he taught his children, not by words alone, but in how he lived his life. He had a heart the size of a mountain and made sure we all knew how much he loved us. Kevin would do anything just to get a smile or a laugh out of you. He worked hard for his family and when they needed him, he was there for them. One of his greatest passions in life was cooking. Cooking for his loved ones brought him great joy and he did it every chance he got. Kevin had lots of nieces and nephews and he loved each and every one of them dearly. He was always excited whenever a family reunion was planned and he got to spend time with them. When Kevin made friends, they ended up becoming lifelong friends. There are too many to name but they all meant the world to him, especially the Zapke’s and Lowe’s. He was truly a wonderful man who loved God, his wife, his children, his grandchildren, and his country. Kevin attended River of Life Assembly of God church and was proud to call Tony Minick his pastor. He served his country in the U.S. Army and was a turbine operator by trade. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to one of Kevin’s favorite charities; Wounded Warrior Project, St. Jude’s hospital, Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation, or Shriner’s hospital.
