Lillian Moreno, 80, of Hot Springs, Arkansas passed peacefully September 16th, 2021. After suffering for months, even years with cancer spreading throughout her body, she asked the Lord to take her home; and our Mighty God answered the call. Lillian was a fighter and never let her deteriorating body slow her down. She spoke often of giving it to God, the burden is not meant for us to carry.
Lillian is well known for her tenacious personality and outspoken demeanor. Her time spent as a truck driver and in the music industry shaped the woman she became. She was very handy and always found a way to repair anything. Lillian was the grandmother fixing neighborhood kids bikes, passing out popsicles on hot summer days, and taking her grandchildren to float the many rivers of central Arkansas.
After fostering her children, David Lee Moore and Lois Moore Erichsen, she continued to play a major role in their lives. Lillian became their mother by choice. Her decision not only impacted their lives but the lives of her 5 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren. The impact she left on family will be felt for generations.
Lillian was born on August 24, 1941, in Milwaukee, WI, the daughter of Alfonso J. and Lillian E. (Kock) Moreno. She is survived by her siblings Carmen Balko, Alice O’Brien, Deanna Moreno, Delano Moreno, and their families. The family that she claimed as her own and loved without bounds Lois and Chuck Erichsen, David Lee and Julie Moore, grandchildren Amanda, Amber, Amy, Josh, and Haley, and their spouses plus her 11 great grandchildren.
Memorial services will be privately held for family Sunday September 26th, 2021
