Michelle Newstrom

Joane Michelle Newstrom, age 64, of Bryant, AR passed away unexpectedly on December 28, 2025 at Baptist Medical Center in Little Rock, AR. She was born on January 10, 1961 in Little Rock, AR to Bonnie and John Newstrom.

Michelle graduated from Little Rock Central High School in 1979 and went on to earn

Her Bachelor's degree in Political Science from University of Central Arkansas in Conway, AR. While at UCA, she played alto clarinet in the UCA band and was a member of Tau Beta Sigma sorority. After graduation, she began a long, successful career in restaurant management.

Michelle was known for her kind, generous nature and the joy she took from the

simple things in life. The love and laughter that she shared with others helped her claim a special place in the heart of everyone who was lucky enough to call her their friend.

She was a lifelong member of the Methodist church, and her faith principles served as a guide throughout her life.

Michelle is preceded in death by her parents, John Victor Newstrom and Bonnie Dee

Miller Newstrom of Bryant, AR. She is survived by her sister, Lori Maack (Bill Kelly) of Bryant, AR, a nephew, Jonathan (Tiffany) Benton of Ward, AR, and two grandnephews, Brayden and Blayne Benton, both of Ward, AR. She also leaves behind a host of extended family and close friends.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00p.m. Friday, January 2, 2026 at Pinecrest
