She was born in Monticello, Arkansas, and spent her life rooted in Central Arkansas, a place she loved and proudly called home. In her final years, she found special joy in returning to Ferndale to be closer to her children, a homecoming that brought her great comfort.
Paula was a beloved mother, grandmother, sister, and friend to many. She enjoyed trips to Branson, cheering on the Razorbacks and the Cowboys, and cherished the simple pleasures of life. She was especially proud of earning her GED after raising her children, a reflection of her determination and lifelong commitment to bettering herself. Above all else, she loved her family, who were always the center of her world.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Roland Bill Newton, and her son, Tony Bisbee.
She is survived by her daughters, Tami Holt and Donna Hudson, and her son, Billy Bisbee. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Bonnie Whaley (Brent), Billy Joe Bisbee (Samantha), Zachary Bisbee (Lynn), Dylan Bisbee, Mason Bisbee (Savannah), Walker Bisbee, and Lessie Bisbee as well as several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, all of whom brought her immense pride and joy.
Paula was a faithful servant of the Lord and a devoted member of Guiding Light Baptist Church, where the congregation was like a second family to her. Her faith was a guiding force in her life and a source of strength, comfort, and love that she shared freely with others.
A visitation will be held at Pinecrest Funeral Home, located at 7401 Highway 5 N, Alexander, AR 72002, on February 27, 2026, from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
The funeral service will take place at Guiding Light Baptist Church, located at 9901 Dublin Drive, Shannon Hills, AR 72103, on February 28, 2026, starting at 10:30 am.
Paula’s legacy lives on through the family she loved so deeply and the lives she touched with her kindness, faith, and unwavering devotion.
