

Robert Steve Etheridge, 87, of Benton, Arkansas, passed away on December 4, 2025. Born on December 14, 1937, in Atkins to Steve and Mary Etheridge, Robert lived a life defined by hard work, loyalty, and a deep love for the outdoors.
Over the years, Robert worked in several fields, including as a casket salesman, a truck driver, and later as an apartment maintenance manager. No matter the role, he was known for his steady work ethic, his honesty, and his willingness to lend a hand to anyone who needed it.
Robert married the love of his life, Cheryl Etheridge, with whom he shared 63 devoted years before her passing. Together they built a strong and loving family. Robert was preceded in death by his wife, Cheryl; his son, Curt Etheridge; and his parents.
He is survived by his daughter, Shon Hesley; his son, Todd Etheridge; his sister, Glenda Lanning; his grandchildren, Tanner Etheridge, Jacob Blankenship, Kaci Stringfellow, and Nick Centofante; and his great-grandchild, Mason Stringfellow. Robert cherished his family deeply, his pride and joy was his wife Cheryl.
A man of simple joys, Robert loved fishing, hunting, and riding motorcycles. Whether casting a line at dawn or cruising down a quiet back road, he found peace in the world around him and shared that joy with those he loved.
Robert will be remembered for his gentle spirit, adventurous and rebel nature, and the countless memories he created with family and friends. His presence will be deeply missed, but his legacy lives on in the hearts of those who knew him.
The service will be held at Pinecrest Funeral Home on Wednesday, December 10, 2025, at 11:00 AM with a visitation starting at 10:00 AM. Burial will follow service at Forest Hills Memorial Park in Alexander, Arkansas
