On July 25, 2015, Amanda Catherine Tyler passed away after an extended illness. Born September 12, 1950 in Nagoya, Japan, Amanda graduated from the University of Houston, received an MBA from Virginia Tech, worked for a number of consulting firms, including PWC and retired from IBM in December of 2013. She was preceded in death by her parents, Col. Joe M. Tyler and Annette Roberts Tyler. She is survived by three sisters and one brother, Marty Tesoriero (Anthony), John Tyler (Anne), Eliza Bankert (David), Joy Riley (Michael), eight nieces and nephews, and five great nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 S. Washington St., Alexandria, VA at 2:00 on August 1, 2015. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Heifer International or the charity of your choice.
