It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved daughter, Ann Michelle Davenport, at age 54, of Knoxville, TN at the Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, TN on January 14, 2026 after a monthlong, hard fought battle from a complicated surgery.
She had a smile that lit up the room and had never met anyone who wasn’t a friend. Some of her passions included love of country music, cats and dogs (especially dalmatians), going barefoot on the beach, and the color purple. If she overheard anyone talking about Michigan, that was an opportunity to gain another friend. She loved all the sports teams from Michigan, as well as the Washington Capitals, Washington Nationals and Dallas Cowboys.
Born in Alexandria, VA on December 14, 1971, she spent most of her school years in Michigan and returned to Alexandria to complete high school and attended NOVA community college.
She had fond memories working as a contractor for NASA. Although she worked many years with a jewelry company and eventually made her way up to management, her love for animals prevailed. It was not surprising when she ended up working for veterinary clinics and owning several dogs and cats.
Ann Michelle leaves behind her parents, Mauricio and JoAnn Vaisman, husband Brad Davenport, daughter Jaclyn Stein, son Marcus Stein, granddaughter Liliana Beasley, an aunt Miriam Kendall, an uncle Ricardo Vaisman, cousins Anna Kendall, Caden, Ellie, Addison and numerous cousins and relatives in Ohio and Virginia.
Ann Michelle’s engaging smile, her warmth and zest for life will always be remembered and will stay in our hearts forever.
In lieu of flowers, Ann Michelle would want you to please donate to a local animal shelter. They need all the help they can get.
