

Eleanor Florence Croisetiere, 93, of Fairfax County, Virginia, passed away peacefully on February 22 at Capital Caring Hospice in Arlington. Born in Philadelphia in 1924 to William Mason and Ruth (née Valentine), she moved with her family to Alexandria in 1936 during the Great Depression.
After attending George Washington HS, she went to work at the Torpedo Factory during World War Two. Just after the war she married Leo Rene Croisetiere (deceased), of Fall River, Massachusetts, and together they raised their four children in the Groveton neighborhood of Fairfax County. Eleanor later worked at the Pentagon and Fort Belvoir. She was active at St. Louis Catholic Church, and enjoyed playing bridge and spending time with family and her many friends.
Mrs. Croisetiere is survived by her children William, Jeanne, and Kenneth. One son, Leo, Jr., predeceased her. Other survivors include eight grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren.
A viewing will be held at St. Louis Catholic Church 2907 Popkins Lane, Alexandria, Virginia at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, March 2. A Mass of the Resurrection at 11:30AM with interment to follow at Mount Comfort Cemetery. In lieu of flowers a contribution may be made to Capital Caring, Arlington, VA
