Eleanor Vogel Thompson of Alexandria, Virginia died on Tuesday, December 18, 2012. Born and raised in South Bend, Indiana, she came to Washington to work for Monsignor Ryan at Catholic University. She met and married William George Thompson on July 6, 1946. She was proceeded in death by her beloved husband Bill on January 1, 2012 and a daughter, Mary Rose. She is survived by her faithful caregiver and son Paul and his three younger brothers: Martin and his wife Donna, Larry and his wife Sherry and James. She leaves grandchildren Stephanie, Morgan, Rushella, Ann and Brandon. She is a also survived by 9 great-grandchildren.
Friends may call the Demaine funeral Home, 520 S. Washington Street, Alexandria, VA 22314 where the family will be present on Friday, December 21st from 10:00am - 11:45am. Interment will follow at Mt. Comfort Cemetery, Alexandria, VA at 2:00pm
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Friday, December 21st at 12:30pm at St. Louis Catholic Church, 2907 Popkins Lane, Alexandria, VA 22306. in Lieu of flowers contributions may be made to The St Louis Catholic Church Food Fund.
