Jay Lawrence Hirsch

Larry was born on May 16, 1954, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is preceded in death by his parents Edward and Marciene Hirsch.

Larry married his beloved bride, Kathy Sue Blann, on September 25, 1982, in Arlington, Virginia.

Larry attended Virginia Tech, graduating with a Bachelor’s degree in Architecture in 1978. He went on to become an accomplished and prolific builder and architect in Alexandria, Virginia and St. Thomas, U.S.V.I., with a reach that extended far beyond these communities through mentorship, lifelong friendships, and the lasting impact of his work.

He loved traveling, boating, live music, and playing with dogs.

Larry is survived by his wife, Kathy; his daughter, Jennifer; his son, Andrew; his brother, Kenneth; and his black Labrador, Archie.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Inova Schar Cancer Institute in Larry’s name. The Hirsch family wishes to extend their sincere thanks to Dr. Benyounes, and his office for their care and support, as well as their dear friends and family who have been beside them throughout Larry’s cancer journey.
