The world lost a little bit of life and light with John's passing. Although, I worked for and with him for a brief time-his laugh, sparkle and vitality made the workplace better because he was in it. His laughter still rings in my mind and his decorating ideas for the house and his love for both of you will be how I will remember him.

Johns beautiful laugh and smile is something that I will always remember.  With a kind heart and gentle spirit, John will be so very missed.

John - you joy for life was admirable and smile contagious. You left us too soon yet those who had the luck to have meet you, surely kindle those moments. For the beloved Severino family, I wish you my most sincere condolences and each of you knows better than I that all John would want is for you to live your lives to their fullest.

John was my supervisor at the Holiday Inn  - in Pittsburgh, and was bar one the best general manager I ever worked under. Period. His laugh was infectous, borderline amazing. He taught me to be a better chef, a better manager, a better husband, and a better person. Always supportive and always someone I wanted to know and strived to do better for. I will miss him greatly. Words cannot express how I feel right now and can only imagine the hurt Trish and Nicholaus must feel. God bless John and his family.

Summer 2008. Downtown Philadelphia for an IHG Regional group dinner.  After the rich food, wine and spirits, only two people elected to walk back to the Holiday Inn Historic District...John and me. Having never met before, we clicked and got to know each other rather well in that fairly long walk back, and in the ensuing years. John's hearty laugh and ever-present gigantic smile will resonate in my mind, and my heart, forever. Thank you for sharing that John. You are one-of-a-kind!
