Joyce Juliana Warner was born Oct 17, 1928 in Philadelphia, PA and passed away on Jun 30, 2018, in Alexandria, VA. She was 89. Joyce was preceded in death by her parents Mildred (Krachun) and Evan Martinovitch. She is survived by her sister Olga Z. Daubert and her husband Robert (Bob); and her brother Milan Martinovitch and his wife Joyce. She is also survived by several nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends and loved ones. Joyce grew up on a farm in Moorestown, NJ. After graduating from Moorestown High School (Class of 1947) and Secretarial College, she went to work for the Department of Defense in Philadelphia, PA as a Secretary. Joyce later transferred to the Defense Logistics Agency in Northern VA, working in the fields of Logistics Management and Office of the Comptroller, Budget Division, retiring as a Budget Analyst. Her career spanned more than 40 years. Joyce was an active member of Saint Luke Serbian Orthodox Church, McLean, VA, and a member of the Serbian Sisterhood. She had a beautiful soprano voice and enjoyed singing in the choir. She traveled abroad with friends and family, often speaking of trips to Europe. Joyce loved to cook and enjoyed spending time with friends, coworkers, and family. She was well known for fully embracing everyone she met. She will be missed dearly. A viewing will be held on Monday, July 9, 2018 at Demaine Funeral Home, 520 S. Washington Street, Alexandria, VA, 22314, between 10:00-11:00 A.M, immediately followed by a prayer service.
