Lin Cian Hsu

Lin was born on September 5, 1933 in Wenzhou (village), Chikiang (province), China to the late On Seng Tai (father) and Yau Kiu Ha (mother). While in China, Lin married the late Yei Kong Hsu. On November 12, 1952, Lin gave birth to their beloved son, Wing Hong Hsu.

Around 1971, Lin and her family immigrated to the United States. She spent most of her career as a housekeeper and was known as an avid gardener. But more than anything, Lin loved her family! She was a cherished sister, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great grandmother, great-great grandmother, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

Lin is survived by her three grandchildren and their families; Christopher (Freedom) Hsu, Thomas (Rebecca) Hsu, and Rachel (Joshua) Koch as well as six great grandchildren and one great-great granddaughter. She is also survived by her siblings and their families; Tick Wah (Ling) Wong, Po (Yuen) Tai, and Po (William) Wong. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, son, and two sisters, Ling Po Chi and Siu Wah Miu.

A visitation will be held Saturday, October 21, 2023, from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Demaine Funeral home located at 520 S. Washington Street, Alexandria, VA 22314. Following the visitation will be a graveside service from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Mount Comfort Cemetery, 6600 South Kings Highway, Alexandria, VA 22306.
