Patricia Jean Brand

Patricia Jean Brand (Pat) of Alexandria, Virginia passed away on April 23, 2022 in Alexandria. She was at peace and was comforted with her husband of 33 years and her son at her side until the end.

Services will be 3:00 to 5:00 pm, Saturday, April 30 at Demaine Funeral Home, Alexandria.

Pat was born as Patricia Jean Brock in Meyersdale, Pennsylvania to Thomas Peter Brock and Naomi Grace Brock (Murray) on April 21, 1951. She was married to John Brand on November 26, 1988 by Rev. James A. Devlin in Scottsdale, Arizona. John quickly realized that Pat had unique senses of reading minds and reading people.

After graduating from Duff’s Business Institute in Pittsburgh, Pat pursued a paralegal career for prestigious law firms throughout the country. More recently, Pat has been instrumental in the success of TeamBrand Strategic Solution®.

Pat was also a longtime volunteer for Howard County Library where she received a Certificate of Recognition and high praise for her dedication and support.

She traveled extensively with her family and loved spending time on ocean beaches. She particularly enjoyed California beaches, South Carolina beaches, Caribbean islands, Yellowstone, Grand Canyon, Telluride, as well as a two-week trip to the Lake District in England, a castle in Wales, and London.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents and by her sister Joan, as well as her good friend Linda. Pat is survived by spouse John Brand, son Justin Brand, brother Mickey Brock and brother Larry Brock.

Memorials may be dropped off during services at Demaine Funeral Home or delivered to John Brand at 511 Duke Street, Alexandria, Virginia 22314.

Pat’s family extends our sincere thanks and deep appreciation to an extensive list of family, friends, caregivers, medical professionals, and now Demaine, all of whom have helped us in this difficult time. John specifically thanks Justin Brand, Kenny Brock, Raphael and Sylvia Ehilen, the team at Partners for the Common Good, and a core group of close friends who have provided and continue to provide support, strength, and deeply felt condolences.
