Theodore Burt here. I just got the news about Bob. I am deeply saddened, as my early years as a Deputy Sheriff, I fondly remember the "Kendall and Petrini" tag team. 
As all of you know, Bob had the heart of a lion, but also a heart of gold.  You will be missed.

We had many breakfasts and I will treasure them all. 

I end this with my deepest condolences to Miriam and Anna. Also my apologies for not being able to be at Bob's service. I'm at work, unable to leave and posted very close to a tomb that reads. " Here rest in honored glory, an American soldier known but to God ".  In the scheme of life, Bob was only known to a precious few, I count myself very fortunate to have been one of those few. God Bless you all.

My friend Bob 

1992, I was introduced to Bob during Team 2B/  Team 1B shift change.   I was already scarred from my first weekend in the jail, the unit door popped and in walked the towers of power. Scott Petrini and Bob. Introductions were made by Bill Anderson. Scotty was pleasant. Bob just gave me some scrutiny.  Through many shift changes, I went from total scrutiny to being just a " little motor scooter ".   I became familiar with Bob putting his game face on for the day. He would walk in, Sam Brown belt off, pepper spray and hand cuffs removed and placed on the garrison belt, pepper spray removed shaken vigorously and returned to its holder , Super Big Gulp , already full of ice placed on the counter, some form of diet two liter produced ( likely as not, Diet Dr. Pepper ), Big Gulp fill completed. During this entire time, he was listening intently to the briefing. This happened like clockwork.  Bob was tougher than woodpecker lips when it came to being at work and doing what needed to be done. He always had use or lose leave and he rarely took a sick day. I saw Bob's true self on a spring day when he showed up at the jail to pick up his 7-11 check. He was wearing shorts and a polo shirt and walking a tiny little ball of fluff. I told him if the inmates saw him from their windows, his reputation as a tough guy would be ruined. He grinned at me and said, " don't let her size fool you, she will take your leg off ".   
I'm including a few pictures, from breakfasts we shared. Much like his game face for work, I came to see his method for meals as well. More than likely, Bob was the first to arrive. Whilst waiting for the rest of us, he would order two pieces white toast and some form of diet soda. He would consume the toast with preferably grape jelly. After our arrival, and being chided gently for our tardiness, we would all order. Bob would have two eggs over easy, home fries, pancakes or if he was feeling froggy, waffles all to be consumed with sugar free syrup

Uncle Bob, 

I didn't get to see you nearly enough as an adult but I have many memories with you from my childhood of hanging out at your house and your moms house and listening to stories you would tell me, and many family get togethers. You are very loved and will be sorely missed by your loved ones and friends.

All my love to Tia, Anna, and the children. You are all in my thoughts.

Our condolences to Miriam, Anna and her children on Bob's passing.  He was a kind neighbor for over twenty years.  We had many fun gatherings together with the other neighbors, and we shared movies on DVD.  

We especially remember the great love and care Bob gave to his mother Christine as she aged - always the sign of a good man.
Rest in Peace.

Bob, you will be missed. You were a great partner at the sheriffs office. You were a great friend. Lots of great conversations throughout the years. A kind soul lost. Rest easy my friend.
