

Arthur, “Art”, Shelton, 81, passed away on Saturday, June 29, 2019. Art was born in Fairmont, West Virginia, but called nearby Grafton his home town. He had a distinguished career in the United States Air Force for 34 years, achieving the rank of Chief Master Sergeant. An all-round athlete, he also played football and baseball for the Air Force.
His career relocated him to many places until retiring to Lutz, Florida in1990.
After retirement Art worked part-time as a Handy Man and served his Home Owners Association in Carpenter’s Run. He loved to fish and often traveled to the Florida Keys to go fishing with friends.
Art moved recently, to be near family, to Brookdale Assisted Living in Altamonte Springs, Florida where he was happy.
Art was preceded in death by Tina, his beloved wife of 57 years.
He grew up in a large family and is survived by his siblings, Eddie Shelton and Helen Cole and many nieces and nephews; his step-children, Mike Woodyard, Randy Woodyard, Debbie Waters and Cindy Merithew and numerous grandchildren and great grandchildren.
