Betty Jane House

Betty was a Florida transplant from upstate New York who loved the beaches of Florida. She worked a lifetime in the retail grocery industry with two companies, Wegman’s in New York and Alberton’s in Florida. Many of her family eventually joined her in the Orlando area. She loved her pets and was a supporter of several animal welfare organizations. Betty loved cooking and cooked for and hosted many large gatherings of family and friends. She fell in love with and married a Florida cracker and lived happily for the last 40 years.

She is survived by her husband Guy L. House; her daughter’s, Brenda Laasi, Mary Ann Lopez and Lisa Irvin and her brother, Eddie Schwartz. She has 6 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

A gathering for Betty will be held Saturday, October 22, 2022 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home, 994 E ALTAMONTE DR, ALTAMONTE SPRINGS, FL 32701, followed by a celebration of life service from 3:00 PM to 4:00 PM.
