Carolyn McRorie, a lifelong resident of Orlando, Florida, was born on March 28, 1949, in Orlando to Emily Lee Ball and Douglas Melvin Ball, Sr. She passed surrounded by love, leaving behind a legacy of strength, devotion, and unwavering love for her family.
Carolyn graduated from Colonial High School and went on to pursue further training in accounting. She built a respected career as a bookkeeper, working for Harmon Auto Glass, Forms Manufacturing Equipment, National Ambulance Builders, and HIDTA. She was known for her strong work ethic, attention to detail, and quiet dedication.
Carolyn found her greatest joy in the simple blessings of life. She loved the outdoors — fishing, camping, gardening, and soaking in Florida sunshine with her beloved son. Whether tending to her garden or spending time by the water, she felt most at peace surrounded by nature and family. She also had a deep love for animals, especially her dogs, who brought her comfort, companionship, and endless joy throughout her life.
She is survived by her devoted son, Duane McRorie, and his fiancée, Vanessa; her beloved grandchildren, Tyler McRorie, Rylee McRorie, and Dylan McRorie; her sisters Sharon Whitewolf and Judy Corron; and her brother Douglas Melvin Ball, Jr. She was preceded in death by her brother, Gary Ball.
Carolyn’s love for her family was unconditional. She taught by example — strength through hardship, loyalty through love, and the importance of showing up for the people who matter most.

Carolyn’s memory will live on in every fishing trip, every garden bloom, every wagging tail, and every moment her family gathers together. She will be deeply missed and forever loved.
