

Dorfman, Daniel Altamonte Springs. Born December 27, 1931 in Brooklyn, New York passed away unexpectedly on August 20, 2015. Survived by his wife Joyce of 61 years, daughter Debra Guenther, son Charles (Debbie) Dorfman, daughter-in-law Pam Dorfman, beloved grandchildren Amanda Guenther and Joseph Dorfman, brother Bert (Sandra) Dorfman and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Joseph and Hannah Dorfman, brothers Carl, Arthur, and his beloved son Jeffrey. He graduated from Brooklyn College with a degree in Math and Physics. He served as an officer in the Air Force 2nd Bomb Wing during the Korean War. He worked for Feldman Laboratories at Picatinny Arsenal (NJ), in Research and Development. He moved to Altamonte Springs, FL in 1965 to work at Martin Marietta as an Engineer in New Business Development and retired in 1991. He was a former councilman for the city of Altamonte Springs. He was a man of many skills. He enjoyed playing golf with his friends, bowling, archery, tennis, and skeet shooting. He also enjoyed going cruising, supporting the UCF football team, and loved spirited discussion with friends, just ask them! His greatest love was spending time with his grandchildren and family. He will truly be missed. Dan was a beloved husband, a loving father and such a happy Papa. A funeral is scheduled for Sunday, August 23, 2015 at Baldwin Fairchild in Altamonte Springs at 11 am.
