Eliseo received a Bachelors Degree in Theology from Philippine Union College (now called Adventist University of the Philippines). Then he achieved a professional career in Radiology Technology as an X-Ray Technician and worked many years for Glendale Adventist Medical Center in Glendale, CA, then relocating employment to Florida Hospital Altamonte Springs (now called AdventHealth Altamonte, until his retirement.
His favorite hobbies included growing fruits and vegetables in the backyard, fishing with his close buddy, Bernie Orquia and friends, whenever the chance arose. He loved watching his all-time favorite programs WWE and Fox News, and listening to his large CD collection of Christian music. Eliseo was a huge LA Laker fan, and loved watching Filipino boxer, Manny Pacquiao, whenever he fought.
Eliseo is preceded by his son, Eliseo Liwag, Jr., also by siblings Rudy Liwag, Pastor Ricardo Liwag, Benjamin Liwag, Exequiel Liwag, Estrellita Liwag Ordanez, and Melchor Liwag.
He is survived by his devoted and loving wife, Norma Liwag, daughter, Elinor Liwag LaGrone and husband, William, of Jay, Oklahoma, and son, Clifford Liwag, and long-time companion, Michele Fiejo-Pugh, of Fremont, California. He leaves behind his sister-in-law, Liwanag Liwag of Altamonte Springs, FL, along with many cousins, nieces and nephews, and many close friends who all loved him dearly.
In closing, Eliseo was a devout man of God of the Seventh-day Adventist faith. He diligently took time daily to read his Bible and spent quiet time with the Lord. He was a pillar to his church during his lifetime, and his church family meant so much to him. Words of thanks cannot express our gratitude to Pastor Dan Catangay for his love and support over the years, along with the Otanes Family for their love and kindness until his last breath.
We know there are many who want to say their goodbyes and show their respect for Eliseo, unfortunately due to the time which we are living with COVID-19, for the safety of all concerned, it breaks our hearts but we must restrict those coming to the funeral to only immediate family who are completely well. We appreciate your support in this difficult decision. Please visit www.baldwinfairchildwestaltamonte.com and offer condolences and take a moment to write a tribute.
