Evelyn Dana Shamblin

Evelyn Dana Shamblin 85, Orlando, FL from Heizer Creek, WV passed away on January 8, 2016. She was retired from Orange County Public Schools and worked for many years at Michael McCoy Elementary in Orlando, FL. Evelyn was born in Heizer Creek, WV on December 28, 1930. She was a loving wife and mother. She married Shellie Glen Shamblin on December 2, 1946. She and Shellie traveled half the world and back during his USAF career, then settled in Central Florida. Preceding her in death her husband Shellie Glen Shamblin, sons Roger Dale Shamblin and Terry Wayne Shamblin. Brothers Guy and Benjamin Withrow and sister Betty Withrow. Evelyn is survived by her daughter Tammy Shamblin-Renie, son-in-law Richard Renie and sister Doris Withrow Wells. As well as many nieces, nephews and grand-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be on Saturday January 16, 2016 at 2:00pm. Gatens-Harding Funeral Home, 147 Main Street Poca, WV 25159 (304) 755-1361. Rick and Tammy will receive family and friends at the funeral home at 1:00pm. Burial will be at Schowen Cemetery. For the Central Florida friends and family, Leigh and Don Richards have offered their beautiful home in Maitland to have a Celebration of Evelyn's Life. This will be on Saturday January 30, 2016 from 12noon to 2:00pm.
