Gabriella Maria Yeaple was born on November 16, 1943 and passed away on September 25, 2021 at the age of 77. She was the only child of Virgil (1950) and Ilse (1986) Eordogh. She was preceded in death by her husband Bob Yeaple (2019) and her daughters Christine April (1973) and Kimberly Joy (2019). She is survived by her son Todd Ellis Wilson, her daughter-in-law Nicole Wyka Wilson, her granddaughter Avery Ellis Wilson (15) and her grandson Jaxson Theodore Wilson (12).
Gabriella, or Gaby as she was known to her friends, was born in Budapest, Hungary. Given the unstable political climate in Eastern Europe in the mid 1940s, Gabriella and her mother fled Hungary and lived with family and friends in Germany and Austria. At the age of six, Gabriella and her mother immigrated to the United States, while her politician father stayed behind. After a brief stint in Chicago, and the death of her father, Gabriella and her mother moved to Washington DC where she attended high school. Gabrielle received an academic scholarship to Wake Forest University – where she graduated in 1966 with a BA in European History. While at Wake Forest she met her first husband Jon Wilson, and they were married during her senior year. Upon graduating college, Gabriella helped put Jon through law school in Wisconsin where she worked as a high school history teacher. In 1971 they moved to Orlando and Todd was born later that year. Kimberly was born a few years later in 1975. In Orlando, she immersed herself in the community and built strong friendships. She became active in PTA and was responsible for building the College and Career Center at Lake Highland Preparatory School.
Once her children were out of the house, Gaby spent time cultivating friendships with other women in Orlando. During this time, Gaby was introduced to her friend Carol’s daughter Nicole. This soon led to a “set up” with her son Todd; resulting in 22 years of marriage and two beautiful grandchildren.
Gabriella was fortunate enough to find love for the second time when she met Bob Yeaple in 2014. They were married a year later. Bob and Gabriella shared six wonderful years together filled will love, laughter and travel. Although Gabriella lost her husband and daughter in 2019, she remained strong and never gave up.
