

Gerald Edward Bendure, Sr. “Ed”, departed this life on June 27, 2015. Born on June 24, 1930, in Washington D.C., he was the son of the late Foster and Elizabeth Bendure, and the husband of the late Jeannie G. Bendure. He retired in 1985 from Martin Marietta Corporation, Orlando, as a Senior Group Engineer and had worked on the Pershing, Bull-Pup, Sprint, Patriot, Pave Penny and Slat programs. Ed was a Navy veteran. He was a 1947 graduate of Randolph Macon Academy in Front Royal, Virginia, and attended George Washington University and the University of Maryland. Ed moved to Florida in 1961 and had resided in Fern Park for 50 years. Ed also enjoyed traveling and exploring the country. After retiring in 1985 he and Jeannie spent seven years traveling around the country, especially west and northwest, making memories and sharing all through, stories, pictures and videos. Gerald E Bendure, Sr, is survived by his son, Gerald E Bendure, Jr, of Orlando, three daughters, Sherry Bendure Manor of Virginia, Jackie Bendure of Virginia and Cindy Bendure Goode, of Maryland. He is also survived by ten grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren. Ed will be interred at Glen Haven Memorial Park, Winter Park, Florida.
