Our beloved Henry John Peterman passed away at the age of 74 the morning of Wednesday, August 12, 2015, at Florida Hospital Orlando, after a brief but courageous battle with lung cancer. He was born on April 29, 1941 in Cambria Heights, Queens, New York, to Henry L. and Minnie Peterman. In 1961, he married his high school sweetheart Grace (O’Gara), and together they raised two sons, Michael and Robert (Bobby). While living on Long Island, New York, Henry managed the payroll for the company that built the World Trade Center. He was proud to have witnessed the construction of the towers from the ground up, and was devastated when they came down. In 1990, the family moved to Longwood, Florida. Henry and his sons established and operated a dry cleaning business in Fern Park, eventually moving it to College Park and expanding by adding a tuxedo rental business next door. Over the 23 years that they operated the businesses they gained many loyal customers, all of whom were very fond of Henry. Henry is survived by his wife, Grace; eldest son Michael, his wife Stacy and their daughter, Jordan, of Apopka, FL; sister Marie Von Hugel of Longwood, FL; brother Joseph Peterman and his wife, Mary, of Winter Garden, FL; and his beloved dog, Mini Moo. Henry was preceded in death by his youngest son, Robert (Bobby) Peterman in 2012. Henry was a very kind hearted, devoted family man. He was an active member of St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church in Apopka. Henry was loved and will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
