Friend of Earl Rollocks, Irwin Solomon, Wallace Wheeler and many others.
Relative of the Miller, Cummings, Briggs, Philip(at Bacolet), and Hercules families .
Hugh attended Bishops High School in Tobago after which he was employed at the Ministry for Tobago Affairs.
He migrated to Brooklyn New York as a young adult, where he graduated from Long Island University, obtaining a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration. He also had his daughter, KellyAnn. He spent many years as a children’s art teacher at a school in Brooklyn, before retiring to focus on his art full time in North Carolina. Hugh eventually moved again and settled in Ocala Florida.
He was a skilled artist and painter with a focus on striking & vibrantly colorful Afro-Caribbean heritage pieces.

Hugh will be interred following a private ceremony at 4 p.m., Thursday, October 21, 2021.
