I miss you more and more everyday Nan! ❤️ It’s hard to believe it’s been a year! I hope we are all making you proud!! Can’t wait to meet your new great granddaughter Jana Joan soon! Please give her lots of hugs and kisses while she’s still in my belly! ❤️❤️ Until the day we meet again, I will always and forever love you, and cherish the memories we have. Please continue to help guide me and our family through this wild thing called life! Lord knows it’s been much harder without you physically here, but I know you are still here in spirit! I only got to visit Jana  on visits to Florida.  She was so kind and accommodating when we visited her family and her Dad, Dean, who is my first cousin.  We became friends on Facebook.  

Dean and her family, you have my deepest sympathy on your loss.  But remember the good times and fond memories of her.  I will!

Just in the short visits I could see how beautiful she was inside and out.

Dean Throckmorton is my uncle.  I did not know Jana all that well growing up, because my Mom Betty Throckmorton moved to Texas with my Dad.  She moved back to Florida after my parents divorce and after retiring as a teacher.  That is when I met Jana.  She was always so polite and nice to me.  She went with my Mom and me and her son to our Ancestorial Reunion in England.  It was a lot of fun traveling with her and her son.  The last time I saw her was when her Dad Dean Throckmorton had a birthday party.  She had a great sense of humor and a warm inviting smile.  I will miss her.  Uncle Dean if you are reading this. When Nana and Gramps stayed with me for two weeks at my home in Maine. We had the best time and I was even able to take them to one of my favorite walking trails, thorncrag bird sanctuary. Every time I go I think of her, it’s much more special to me now. I miss her so much but I feel her all around me.❤️

Jana was a dear friend and fellow Girl Scout from Howe HS. We had so much fun together hanging out, traveling and enjoying school and social activities! Our Scout troop camped, hiked, raised money, did service projects, sold cookies, earned badges and even took a cruise to the Caribbean. Mrs. Throckmorton made Scouting “cool”! I loved Jana (we all did) and I grieve especially for her family. My deepest condolences and love to you all!

Nana was like a grandmother to me she has seen me grow up and she has seen me have kids. She’s always been welcoming to me and my family and I appreciate everything she has done for me. Nana has taken me to church, Taught me Card game, had me over for holidays and always tried to keep us all in shape with Curve challenges back in the day. My condolences to the family as she was an AMAZING mother and Nana! Love you all ~KD
