Jane Ann Hoskins-Groh

Jane grew up in Pineville, Kentucky. After graduating from college, she then moved and raised her family in Maitland, Florida with her high school sweetheart and husband Daniel Boone Hoskins whom she dearly loved. They both were their children’s biggest supporters whether it be sports, academic achievements or personal milestones. Sadly, Daniel Boone Hoskins passed away in 1990. In 2003 Jane married Edward Groh. They enjoyed traveling and

spending summers in Cincinnati, Ohio with friends and family until his death in 2017. Jane was an educator and enjoyed teaching at Tuskawilla Middle School in Seminole County. The kids dearly loved her. She also spent much time playing tennis, time with her “yaya

sisters”, children and grandchildren. She was close to each and every one of her grands, affectionately known as “Mimi”.

Jane is preceded in death by both of her loving husbands, Daniel Boone Hoskins, Edward Groh, parents and sibling Rex Lockard. She is survived by her siblings Mary George Lockard

Devary and Lynn Lockard Slusher, children Lezlie Sterchi (Jim) of McDonald, TN, Susan Bode (Baxter) of Maitland, FL, Nate Hoskins (Beth) of Maitland, FL and grandchildren Madison, Harper, Baxter Jr., Tori, Boone, Dylan, and 1 great grandchild Lucy Jane, nieces and nephews.

Jane never met a stranger and touched so many lives and will be forever loved and missed by her family and friends.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital, a charity she loved supporting.

Memorial service will take place on Saturday November 22, 2025 at Knowles Memorial Chapel at Rollins College from 10am to 12:30 pm, 1000 Holt Avenue, Winter Park, FL 32789. Reception will be immediately following at Interlachen Country Club, 2245 Interlachen Ct, Winter Park, Fl 32792. All family and friends are welcome to attend.
