I spent a lot of time with Jack's wife Luvenia, who I adopted as my special "Mom". As such I went to their home often to help Luvenia with her computer when she was working on the Apopka Highland HiLites church newsletter.  I found several pictures I took of Luvenia and her best friend Evelyn Knight, and some other pictures of her with me, but could find no photos of Jack other than those posted here. I believe he had a knack of avoiding me when I had the camera pointed in his direction-lol! Jack was dedicated to his church and spent many hours copying the sermon tapes, making labels, and distributing the tapes to those who needed them, such as shut-ins. I loved both Jack and Luvenia so much and look forward to spending more time with them in heaven.

I absolutely love this photo because it shows the love these two had for each other, and their sense of humor.  
They loved their children and grandchildren dearly and often spoke of them to me.  You all have a legacy of such loving parents.  

Here is one of the few pictures I have of Jack at the old Apopka church on Highland Ave. This was an Armed Forces Day celebration around 1998. He is in the plaid shirt with suspenders, just in front of Uncle Tom. 

Your dad was such a pillar in our Apopka SDA Church and he contributed in so many ways.    I remember him facilitating the tape and CD ministry for many years, where anyone could obtain a copy of the sermon right after church was over, and he was so committed and faithful.  I knew him as a humble and kind man, who served others without drawing attention to himself.    I thought a lot of your dad.   He now rests until Jesus returns!
