John Howard Matlack

John was born on August 27, 1935. He was a devoted husband of 65 years; a father, grandfather and great grandfather. He was an Air Force Veteran and served his community proudly with 40 plus years in Law Enforcement and in service to his church community as choir director and congregational leader. He loved his family, his country and to travel the United States with his wife. He was known for his kind gentle spirit, his love of singing and whistling and was an enthusiastic fan college football.

John is survived by his Wife Margaret Matlack (Longwood), Daughter Chris Breslin and spouse Patrick (Orlando), Daughter Toni Allen and spouse Dana (Merritt Island), Son Rance Matlack and spouse Lynne (Apopka), Grandsons Eric Layton and spouse Dee (Lake Mary), Mathew Allen, Mitchel Allen, Sam Matlack and his spouse Victoria; Great Grandchildren; Neo, Baysia, Ziv, Lucius, Ikia and Jasher Layton, Alba Allen, Alec and Millie Matlack.

At the request of the family in these difficult times his service will be private. While this is a private service Flowers may be sent to Baldwin Fairchild Funeral Home 90 Weathersfield Ave, Altamonte Springs, FL 32714 on or before Saturday August 15, 2020.
