Jon Terry Veazey

Jon Terry passed away peacefully on September 2, 2025. He was born in Birmingham Alabama to James Wesley Veazey and Louise Perry Veazey . He went to grade school in Birmingham where he made many treasured life long friends with whom he kept in close touch throughout his life. The family then moved to Chattanooga where he attended Collegedale Academy. He decided to transfer his senior year to Forest Lake Academy in Apopka , Florida where he stated that was the best high school year that he ever had. He made many more good friends as he always did wherever he went. He moved back to Chattanooga where he attended Southern Missionary College (Southern Adventist University) and that is where he met his sweet Annebelle where they fell in love.

He and Annebelle married on August 28, 1949 and were married for 76 years. They had 3 children, Jon Timothy, Terrye Ann and James Todd, (who passed at childbirth in 1969.) The family lived in Chattanooga, Atlanta, Louisville, and Orlando. Jon worked as a sales representative for Maguires Mirror Glaze, Hospital Publications, Diversified Insurance Co. and ultimately started his own company AutoKare Products in Orlando. The company manufactured and distributed care car products throughout the state of Florida for over 25 years until he retired. He had a never ending passion for cars and motorcycles with numerous amounts of both during his lifetime, all of which acquired an extra amount of "chrome", his trade mark. He was also known for his love for Dr. Pepper, BBQ and anything chocolate! His most treasured quality though was his enormous heart which belonged to his family and friends. His daily mission in life was to put a smile on someone's face with one of his clever jokes or ventriloquist tricks , he never met a stranger. He loved to have fun and include others in his shenanigans ! He left this earth making sure his family and friends knew just how much he loved them.

He is survived by his loving wife Annebelle Kirkham Veazey, Jack Veazey (brother), Diane Veazey Booker (sister), Tim Veazey (son), Terrye Ann Frey/Robin Frey (daughter and son in law), Coker and Jaimme Preston (grandson and wife), Aaron and Jaimee Preston (grandson and wife) and 8 great grandchildren, Jacob, Gavin , Jasmine, Hagan, Arie, Farrah, Brendan and Dolly.

A commemorative service will be held at a later date .
