WILSON, Lynell Cleo, 81, went to be with the Lord and her husband, Lawrence on February, 27, 2017, in Winter Park, FL. Lynell was born in Palatka, FL to Stanton and Cleo (Barrington) Thomas. She was named after her mother. It was in Palatka at church that Lawrence saw Lynell and knew she was meant to be with him forever. Only one problem was that he was 7 years older than she, so he had to wait to ask her out. He would go to the family farm to shell peas in order to get to see her. They married and moved to Altamonte Springs, FL. She was very active in the Trinity Baptist Church. Lynell loved her church, her Sunday School Class, Bible Study Class, her family and her Lord. She was a true Southern Belle. Lynell is a retired Secretary for Suntrust Corp President. She and Lawrence were married 61 years, before his passing in 2015. She is survived by her children, Scott Thomas Wilson(Tina), Lori Lyn Wilson (Joseph); brother, David Thomas and sister, Minnie Campbell. Graveside Services will be, 11 AM, Wednesday, March 15, 2017 at the Highland Memory Gardens, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd., Apopka, FL 32703.
