Sandra Alice Sauro

SAURO, Sandra Alice, 79, died Sunday, September 11, 2016 in the Consulate Health Care, Altamonte Springs, FL. She was born in Camden, NJ to Samuel and Alice (Sweeton) Miller. She married Mariano F. Sauro, Sr, June 1, 1957 in Camden, NJ. She worked in retail at Two Guys and Kmart in N.J. Sandy and Marty moved to Okeechobee in 1990 where she continued her work in retail at Walmart and Avon Sales. She attended Gathering Church in Okeechobee and then moved to Altamonte Springs, FL with her son, Mariano(Patti) in 2014. She attended Waterstone Church in Altamonte Springs, FL. She enjoyed reading, needlepoint, crocheting and making pottery. Sandy loved people and was a Godly woman who touched so many lives in the nursing home, as well as outside the facility. She had a beautiful smile that lit up a room. If you ask Sandy how she was it was always peachy-keen. Everyone knew her by Peachy-Keen. Sandy is going to be missed by her family. She is preceded in death by her husband, Mariano F. Sauro, Sr., her parents; brothers, Samuel and William Miller and granddaughter, Emily Sauro. Sandy is survived by her brother, Dale (Rita) Miller; daughter, Alice (Edmund) Furphy; 2 sons, Mariano F. (Patti) Sauro and Robert (Jennifer) Sauro; grandchildren; Andrea Sauro, Shanna Furphy, Edmund (Jordan) Furphy, Brianne Furphy, Kaitlyn Furphy, Robert (Micaela) Sauro, Jr., Ryan Sauro and Matthew Sauro; step grandchildren, Jeanne (Paul) Mailly and Justin Simmons; great grandchildren, Ryla Mailly and Jaxson Sauro; step great grandchild, Case Simmons; 4 nieces and 4 nephews. A Celebration of Life Service will be held in her honor, Saturday, 10 AM, September 24th, 2016 at the Water Stone Church, 900 North Street, Longwood, FL 32750.
