Terry Lee Kipp

KIPP, TERRY LEE age 73 passed away Tuesday, May 5, 2015. Terry was born in Cumberland, Maryland to Betty and Dale Kipp. He moved to Orlando in 1952 where he attended Cherokee Junior High, Boone High School and Orlando Junior College before getting his degree from University of Florida. He retired from the Florida Department of Agriculture Division of Plant Industry after 40 years of service. As a 48 year member of First Baptist Church of Longwood Terry has served as Trustee and Deacon as well as many ministries where he was always willing to help anywhere at anytime. He enjoyed classic cars, motorcycles, water sports, playing drums to the oldies, watching Gator football, working outside and anything that involved his family. He often remarked that he was going to “live until he dies” and that he did, as he bravely fought cancer for almost 6 years never letting it get in the way of what he wanted to do. He is survived by his wife of almost 52 years Ellen, son Jon, daughter-in-law Fran, daughter Joy, son-in-law John, grandchildren Jared, Jenna, Mary and Emily. A Celebration Service to honor Terry’s life and going home to Heaven will be held Monday, May 18th, 2015, 2PM at First Baptist Church of Longwood located at 891 E State Rd 434, Longwood, Fl 32750. Friends are welcome to visit with family before the service at 1PM or at a dessert fellowship following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be made to First Baptist Church of Longwood or Hospice of the Comforter.
