Mr. Vertyl Bacchus

He was born in Richland Park, St Vincent, West Indies on December 5, 1922 to Joseph and Alice Bacchus, and is preceded in death by his first wife Pearlina, second wife Inez and daughter Erene.

Vertyl attended the Marriaqua Government School and later the Richland Park SDA Primary School where he received his formal education.

As a member of the Markham Woods SDA Church, he enjoyed sharing his faith and was involved in church and community service activities both in St Vincent and the U.S. He enjoyed the company of his family and friends, loved gardening and was an ardent cricket fan.

Vertyl is survived by his children, Steve, Ephraim, Sylvina, Pearlie, Verina, Fitzroy, Evitha, Phyllis and Chesley, 19 grand children, 20 great-grand children, siblings, Eli, Alrick, Iris and Lydia and a large number of relatives and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, January 5, 2023, beginning at 9:30 a.m. at the Markham Woods SDA Church, 505 Markham Woods Road, Longwood, Florida 32779. Interment will follow at Highland Funeral Home and Memory Gardens, 3329 E. Semoran Blvd, Apopka, FL 32703.
