

Vibert Mohabeer was born on April 20, 1930, in Meadow Bank, Guyana. He was the son of the late John A. Mohabeer and Beatrice Isabella Mohabeer Pooran. Vibert attended Carmel Roman Catholic School; St. Stevens and the University of Guyana. Vibert Graduated with an Associate Degree in accounting from Bronx Community College at the age of 60. Vibert married Edith Hookumchand on September 30, 1961. Vibert and his family migrated to Bronx, New York in 1980. In 1991, Vibert and his family relocated to Altamonte Springs, Florida. In New York, Vibert worked at Litton Potentiometer as an accountant. After he moved he worked at CVS as a cashier. He also worked at H&R Block for over 25 years during tax season. He had a passion for photography, enjoyed collecting coins and stamps, loved to dance, was an avid chess player, enjoyed playing checkers and loved to travel. In 2008 he fulfilled his lifelong dream to travel to India with his family. He got his greatest joy from his 3 mazing children and 7 awesome grandchildren. He was preceded in his passing by his wife Edith; his brothers Lincoln, Leonard and Kenneth; and his sisters Mary, Yvonne and Rona. He is survived by his daughters Jacqueline Hinds, Yonette Raghunan and Amanda Mohabeer; grandchildren Elizabeth, Kristina, Keith, Kevin, Nicholas, Patrick and Rachel; great grandson Alexander; His siblings Ronald, Norma, Anita, Lennox, Lionel and Janet; sons-in-law Christopher, Neville, Hubert and Andrew; and a multitude of in-laws, nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Vibert has gone to a higher place and his memory will linger in our hearts forever. He will be lovingly remembered by many relatives for his personal pieces of unconventional wisdom, his quirky sense of humor and his dedication to his family.
