Adelina was born August 25, 1925 to Florencio and Lucienda Gutierrez. She married the love of her life Joe Padilla in November 1943. She enjoyed playing bingo, traveling to California to see her grandchildren and go to the casinos. She enjoyed listening and dancing to music. Adelina loved cooking and spending time with her family. She was known as “granny” to her friends. She was a strong loving woman who will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son Joe Padilla Jr, daughter in law Janice Padilla brothers Sebano Gutierrez; Matias Gutierrez; Marcelino Gutierrez; sister Sally Maestas
Adelina is survived by her husband Joe Padilla; son Jimmy Padilla; daughter Ida Jo Padilla Ponce and husband Henry both of Amarillo; 15 grandchildren; 48 great grandchildren; 48 great great grandchildren; siblings; Angie Montano of Amarillo; Nea Donham of Chula Vista, California; Frances Hernandez and husband Isidro of Amarillo; Florenco Gutierrez and wife Oma of Rio Rancho New Mexico; Bertha Baca and husband Bengie of Vaughn New Mexico; Fermin Gutierrez and wife Maryann of Santa Rosa, New Mexico. Numerous nieces and nephews.
