

Antonio “Tony” Aleman, Sr., 60 of Las Vegas, Nevada passed away November 15, 2012. Rosary will be said at 6:00 p.m. Sunday, November 25, 2012 at Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Pioneer Chapel. Funeral Mass will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, November 26, 2012 St. Joseph’s Catholic Church by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell. Mass of Christian burial will be at Memory Gardens Cemetery by Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors, 5400 S. Bell. Antonio was born July 17, 1952 in San Antonio and was raised in Brownfield. He joined the U.S. Army and spent three years in active duty and then was in the Army Reserves until 2000. Antonio moved to Amarillo in 1984 and began working for ASARCO, retiring in 2011. He liked to continue his education, taking a lot of classes at Amarillo College. Antonio enjoyed the outdoors, he liked to travel as well as fish and camp out. He loved watching movies and loved to video tape. He was quite the videographer and would video tape his children and grandchildren’s sporting events. Antonio was an avid Denver Bronco Fan. He was preceded in death by his wife, Betty Aleman; his parents, his son, Daniel Rodriguez; and a brother, Felix Aleman. Antonio is survived by his sons, Tony Aleman, Jr. and Jason Aleman; daughter, Lisa Aguilar; his adopted children, Lupe Rodriguez and Lynn Dominguez; his sisters, Linda Gonzales and Margie Flores; brothers, Carlos Aleman, Jerry Aleman and Arthur Aleman; 23 grandchildren, 20 great-grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
