

April attended Barberton High School where she graduated Class of 1973 and later studied at Amarillo College from March 3, 1993 to August 31, 1996. In between her years of education, April married her loving husband in November of 1988 in Panhandle, Texas.
April was a kind-hearted, loving, hard-working person. April loved her coworkers and her job with the Texas Attorney General’s Office Child Support Division where she dedicated over two decades of her life until her retirement on May 2, 2014. She served her state well there even earning the title of Employee of the Year.
When April wasn’t working, she could be found enjoying the most beautiful mountains or rooting for the Cleveland Browns or Cleveland Indians gaining the reputation of an avid fan of both teams.
April was a wife, sister, Aunt, Mother, Grandmother and Great-Grandmother. Everyone who had the privilege of meeting April came to love her. April will be missed by her many friends, coworkers and family.
April is preceded in death by her mother Charlotte and husband Duane Hacker, father Lloyd Hare and sisters Maryann Hare, Lori Hare and Leah Hacker and mother and father-in-law Gene and Gorden Chamberlin.
Left on this earth to carry on her legacy is her husband Gorden Chamberlain, sons George Hacker, Timothy Darin Chamberlain, Gorden Chamberlain III, daughters Tara Hillyer and Candra Lynn Phillips, brothers Pete Hare and Mike Hare, sisters Cyndy and husband Howard Carpenter, Amy and husband Bob Deisz, Debbie and husband Rick Graham, sister-in-law's Paula, Joan and husband Wess, Rhonda and husband Doug, Jamia and husband David, nieces Lorie, Alice, Shannon, Lauran, Hailey, Gwyn, Emily, Kayla, Malorie and Lori, and nephews Josh, Matt, Cody, Dusty, Jason, Jonathan, Thomas, Jarod, Shane, Allen, Morgan, Lee and Otie, grandchildren Conner, Craig, Samantha, Sydney, Lindsey Melody, Elizabeth and Ryan Chamberlin, Andrew and Heather Green, Charlotte and Leah Hacker, George Hacker II, Jonathan Hillyer and 15 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for April will be held Tuesday, March 15, 2022 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East, Amarillo, Texas. A funeral service will occur Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Memorial Park Funeral Home. A burial will occur Wednesday, March 16, 2022 at Memorial Park Cemetery, 6969 I-40 East, Amarillo, Texas.
Serving as pallbearers are Jonathan Stinnett, Georgie Hacker, Garett Johnson, Jackie Gilbreth, Gorden Chamberlain III, Nathan Jesse and Jason Green.
