Barbara Acklin Engle

Barbara Acklin Engle passed away February 10, 2023. Visitation will be held Monday, February 13, 2023 from 5-7 PM at Griggs Schooler Gordon Funeral Directors 5400 Bell St. Funeral service will be held Tuesday, February 14, 2023 at 10 AM at Hillside Christian Church with Brent Clark officiating. Barbara was born November 29, 1933 in Palo Pinto, County. Barbara loved her family and her family adored her. She was a loving, kind and giving woman of God. She was always there to help anyone in need. Her Senior Life Group was very important to her. She enjoyed spending time on the ranch or just hanging out with her family. She will be deeply missed.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband’s TG Acklin and Howard Engle. Grandson Cody Acklin and two brothers Paul Hawthorne and Winford Hawthorne.

Left to cherish her memory are her children: Wayne Acklin and wife Pam and Teddy Acklin and friend Joan Acklin. A very special friend Verlyn Walunas and husband Ed. Grandchildren: Lance Acklin and wife Sandie; Liebe Wickstrom and husband Brett; Eric Acklin and wife Liz; Ethan Acklin and wife DeAnna and Kevin Tye and Jaceena Diehl;Seth Montgomery; Heath Montgomery and wife Emily; Jason Poteet and wife Jackie;

Lynn Poteet and wife Rebecca. Friend Kim Montgomery along with seventeen great grandchildren, two very special great great grandchildren and a host of other family and friends.
