Funeral Service will be at 2:00 p.m. Monday, April 7, 2014 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories with Pastor Jerry Davey officiating.

Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery. Arrangements are by Memorial Park Funeral Directors

Visitation will be Monday 11am-1pm at the funeral home

Bessie was born February 15, 1928 in Harold Texas to W.J. Showers and Osa Myrtle Jullian. She passed away April 3, 2014 in Tyler, Texas at the age of 86. She attended school in Harold and married Cecil Hendrix June 30, 1945 in Altus, OK. The couple moved to Amarillo where Bessie was a manicurist for over 50 years. Bessie enjoyed painting, fishing and camping and in later years traveling. She made the move to Tyler 4 years ago and loved spending time with her son fishing on the lake. She was deeply loved and will be dearly missed.

Bessie was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a grandson, Bryan Hendrix and several siblings.

Bessie is survived by 3 sons, Gary Hendrix and wife Mary Ann of Tyler, Larry Hendrix of Amarillo and Lloyd Hendrix and wife Yolanda of Amarillo; 4 grandchildren; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild..

In lieu of flowers the family suggests memorials be made to either The Hospice of East Texas, 4111 University Blvd, Tyler, Tx. 75701 or Cal Farley’s Boy’s Ranch, Amarillo, Tx
