

Betty was born February 8, 1935, in Paris Texas to J.B. and Gladys Dickey.She grew up in a family of four sisters and one brother. She grew up during the depression era. The family followed the cotton harvest working in the fields picking cotton. Until they settled in the Amarillo area. In 1951 when Betty was just 16 she worked as a cook in her family owned small dinner on Route 66. There she met the love of her life Robert Ogden they married when she was just 16 they had 4 children together.
Betty enjoyed gardening, crocheting, sewing ,crafting and painting. She was the owner of a small shop in Fritch called Bettys Sewing Corner. She and her sister Carlene Mitchell volunteered for Meals on Wheels for several years in Fritch. She was a born again Christian and will be deeply missed.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband Robert, a son Bill, great grandchildren Cloe and Jonathan and a brother Harold Dickey and a sister Sherry Cates.
She is survived by her children; Bonnie Roberts and husband Eddie; Mrs. Deborah Ogden; Karson Ogden and wife Jessie; Wade Ogden and wife Margaret. Siblings Carlene Mitchell, Edith Davis, Dolores Justice and Myrna Dickey, 16 grandchildren, 26 great grandchildren and 1 great- great grandchild.
