

Calvin Curtis Jackson, 75 of Amarillo passed away February 27, 2016. Graveside service will be at 2:00 p.m. Friday, March 4, 2016 at Memorial Park Cemetery North Mausoleum Chapel with Rev. Paul Lively officiating. Military Honors will be provided by Volleys for Veterans. Calvin was born February 23, 1941 in Levelland to Curtis and Claudia Jackson. He spent most of his life in Lubbock and attended Lubbock High School and Texas Tech University. Calvin owned and operated a body shop repair supply store and also drove a school bus for Wolforth School District. He also worked as a Catastrophe Storm Adjuster before retiring. Calvin loved flying and learning to fly a Piper Cub. He was preceded in death by a sister, Dixie Nell McDonald; a brother-in-law, Ralph McDonald and a sister-in-law, Dorothy Jackson. Calvin is survived by his wife, Clarice Abrisz Jackson of the home; son, Douglas Sean Jackson and wife Elena of Lubbock; daughter, Michelle Wilson and husband Tommy of Fort Worth; two granddaughters, Erika Wilson and Randi Beth Meadows and husband Cory both of Lubbock; five grandsons, Blaise and Dakota Wilson both of Fort Worth, Benjamin Jackson of Lubbock, Alexander Jackson and wife Adrianna of Midland and Elija Jackson of College Station; brothers, Charles Jackson of Kingsland and Jimmy Jackson and wife Jan of Farmington, New Mexico; and two great-grandsons, Wesson and Hayes Meadows both of Lubbock.
