Carolyn Scasta

Born in Gaffney, South Carolina on December 30, 1956 Carolyn Scasta was born into her large family. A few years later they moved to Colorado where she attended most of her grade school. Later she ended up in Dalhart, TX where she started high school. She had her first child Ronald E. Taylor Jr. in October of 1974 a few years later in 1978 she married her husband of 44 years, Edwin Scasta. Her two other children Chris and Brian Scasta followed in 79’ and 81’. She raised her children until 93’ when she began her nursing school to gain her RN license. She graduated in 96’ and worked as a nurse in hospitals, an Urgent Care clinic, and a Dialysis clinic in the Dumas/Amarillo area. Cancer and related treatment disabled her from continuing as a nurse. Thereafter she spent her time with family and the care of her grandchildren and even her great grandchildren.

She is survived by her husband Edwin Scasta. Her sons Ronald E. Taylor Jr., Chris Scasta Sr., and Brian Scasta. Her brothers Jimmy Day, Kenneth Day, and Benny Millwood. Her sisters Jerri Fehlhafer, and Teresa Hall. Her grandchildren Chris Scasta Jr., Chassidy Scasta, Ethan Scasta, Xander Scasta, Radek Scasta, Gracie Taylor, and Declan Taylor. Her great grandchildren Sterling Scasta and Maverick Scasta.

Preceded in death her mother Margie Clark, father James Day and step father Ben Millwood. Her brothers Teddy Day and Bobby Millwood, Her sister Connie Millwood.
