Charles George Rector Jr born to Charles George Rector, Sr. and Bobbie Ruth Green in Cleveland, Tennessee on February 10, 1944, moved to Amarillo, Texas and married Donna Kay Kirkwood. Charles was an artist, former volunteer EMT with Hall County and first responder with North Hood County Volunteer Fire Department. He retired from TDCJ after 16 ½ years and became a substitute teacher in Granbury, Texas and Amarillo, Texas. He loved his wife, daughters and grandkids but most of all he loved the Lord and wanted to share God with everyone. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to St. Jude's.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years Donna; daughters Michelle Rector-Bell and husband Joe of Cleveland, Tennessee; Diane Rector Shaddon and husband Pete of Amarillo, Texas and Crystal Rector Head, and husband Michael of Granbury, Texas. His sister Beverly Rector Hutcheson and husband Cecil of Amarillo; he has six grandchildren and one great grandson and many nieces and nephews. Many knew him, loved him and will we all will miss him.
