

A visitation will be held on May 15, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Griggs-Schooler-Gordon Funeral Directors Amarillo, Texas. Burial will be private. Celebration of Life will take place at 2:00 p.m. on May 16, 2025, at Trinity Fellowship Willow Creek in Amarillo, where Cindy was a devoted member since 2011. Officiating Cindy's Celebration of Life will be Pastors Bo Williams and Tyler Leavitt.
Cindy was born on March 21, 1962, in Dalhart, Texas, to Jerry and JoAnn Stephens. She was raised in Pampa, Texas, where her kind heart and joyful spirit began to blossom. In 1997, she married the love of her life, Ken Nicholson, on April 12, beginning a journey filled with laughter, devotion, and deep love.
Cindy was a loyal and compassionate soul who cherished time with her family, especially her sisters. She had a creative spirit and loved crafting, cooking, and escaping to the mountains, where she found peace and joy. Cindy will be missed by her Goldendoodle Gabby Belle.
She is preceded in death by her beloved mother JoAnn Stephens, her son Justin Taylor, and grandparents JoEd and Anita Cupell and Virgil and Gladys Stephens.
She is survived by her loving husband Ken Nicholson, her father Jerry Stephens, and her children Jeffrey Taylor (Denicia), Jason Taylor (Hillary), Whitney Nicholson, and Lindsey Nicholson. She is also survived by sisters Sheila McElroy (James), Tammy Vincent (Rusty), and Amber Schock (Marcus); her brothers-in-law Kevin Nicholson (Jamie) and Jeff Parker (Jenna); her nine grandchildren; her cherished mother-in-law Jessie Bailey, along with numerous extended family members and dear friends.
Cindy’s favorite color was purple. The family has asked that friends and family wear purple in honor of Cindy. In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Cindy’s honor to www.Liverfoundation.org or www.nationalmssociety.org.
Cindy will be remembered for her unwavering love, her joyful presence, and the warmth she brought into every room.
