Curtis was born June 5, 1914 in Hunt County, Texas to Roy and Ollie Bolton. He married Meta Mae Patton on May 23, 1936 and a year later they moved to California. They then moved to Sunray in 1940 where he worked at Continental Carbon Company and then at Broxson Furniture and Appliance until relocating to Amarillo in 1969. Curtis owned and operated Bolton Appliance Service here in Amarillo from 1969 to 1991. He was quite the jack of all trades; he made fishing lures, bird houses, clocks and lamps to name a few. He could fix anything. Curtis enjoyed spending time in his shop working with his hands. He loved fishing and spending time with his family, especially his grandkids. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Meta Bolton; grandson Ricky Wayne Bolton; brothers, Clyde and Carroll Bolton and sisters, Maude Bolton and Mildred Wallace.
Curtis is survived by his sons, Wayne Bolton and wife Sandy and Larry Bolton and wife Carol both of Amarillo and Ron Bolton and wife Angelina of Arlington; also by 7 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
