Dale Wayne Stewart

Dale Wayne Stewart, 62 of Amarillo passed away November 12, 2012. Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Memorial Park Funeral Home Chapel of Memories by Memorial Park Funeral Home, 6969 I-40 East. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery by Memorial Park Funeral Home 6969 I-40 East. Dale was born July 26, 1950 in Portales, New Mexico and was raised in Amarillo. He worked at the original Bell Helicopter from 1969 to 1988 and then worked over 20 years for Crouse Hinds. Dale married Vicky Johnson on January 19, 1971 here in Amarillo. He really loved the outdoors especially camping, fishing and cooking out. He also enjoyed being outside using his metal detector. Dale collected anything coca-cola. He was a man who always would try new things, he just enjoyed life. He was a very giving and generous person who always saw the best in everyone he met. One thing he really loved was spending time and playing with his grandson. Dale was a loving husband, father, brother and grandfather and will be truly missed. Dale was preceded in death by his birth mother, Jessie Mae Stewart; his step-mother, Lillian Stewart and two brothers, Jimmy Don Stewart and Michael Stewart. Dale is survived by his wife, Vicky Stewart of the home; his son, Danny Stewart and wife DeeDee of Amarillo; father, Harold Stewart and wife Sandy; twin brother, Gale Stewart of Amarillo; brothers, Tinky Stewart and wife Jackie and Stanley Stewart both of Amarillo, Cowboy Stewart and wife Jean of Corpus Christi and Steven Edwards of Midland; sister, Crystal Harrison of Amarillo; grandson, Keithen Stewart of Amarillo; and by his special aunts, Eudean Myers and husband Joe of Amarillo and Roberta Simpson of Hobbs, New Mexico.
