

She was born January 14, 1941 in Cimarron, New Mexico to Lessie Byrd and Billy Whiteman. Edith was a sweet caring person who enjoyed many things in life, she especially enjoyed creating and detail painting her ceramics as a hobby. She loved playing bingo and did so every chance she got, had great fun attending hockey games as well. As a profession, she raised and bred show dogs, sometimes going to dog shows. Edith was a self-employed dog groomer for 45 years, learning how to groom dogs starting her own business in Florida. She later moved to Oklahoma, then later back to Texas as a successful dog groomer. Edith enjoyed spending time with her grandkids, loved going out to eat spending as much time as she could with family and friends. The simple life and simple things was what she was all about.
She is survived by her spouse; Amos’ McGee, son; Randall (R.C) Collins and wife Susan Bowler Collins of Amarillo, Texas, daughter; Lori Hudson Carver and husband Darren Carver of Hereford, Texas, Grandchildren; Kevin Saul and wife Amber Pemberton of Tyler, Texas, Sean Carver and wife Jolly Carver of Hereford, Texas, and McKinzie Carver of Hereford, Texas, Great-Grandchildren, Brooklyn, Abigail Pemberton, and Jenny Carver.
Edith is preceded in death by her parents, Billy and Lessie Whiteman.She will be missed by both her family and friends.
