Gwendolyn "Gwen" Fisher

Gwendolyn “Gwen” Fisher, 70 of Amarillo passed away September 14, 2014. Celebration of life services will be at 1:30 p.m. Thursday, September 18, 2014 at Trinity Fellowship Church, North Campus with Delbert Hughes of Lawton, Oklahoma officiating. Private family entombment will be at Memorial Park Cemetery East Mausoleum by Memorial Park Funeral Home 6969 I-40 East. Gwen was born November 1, 1943 in Lawton, Oklahoma to William and Fern Grubbs. She was raised in Oklahoma City. Gwen came to Amarillo in the mid 1960’s. In 1978 she married Louis Troy Fisher, Louis passed away in 2003. Gwen was a loving person and was a lady that never met a stranger. She absolutely loved her family especially her grandkids and she was a big animal lover. Gwen will never be forgotten and will be missed by all who knew her and loved her. Above all she loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Gwen was preceded in death by her husband, Louis Troy Fisher; her parents and a sister, Barbara Green. Gwen is survived by her son, Tom Hanson and wife Ginger; brother, Larry Grubbs and wife Gayle of Guthrie, Oklahoma; sisters, Bonnie Ewoldt and husband Gary of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Carolyn Cornett and husband Thomas of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Alice Paul and husband Roy of Lake Charles, Louisiana and Lynda Steinbring and husband Dale of Sentinel, Oklahoma; grandchildren, Colten Hanson, Thomas Hanson II and Amy Hanson. The family suggest memorials be sent in lieu of flowers to Trinity Fellowship Church North Campus Building Fund.
